Our resident Manchester City supporters, who have been discussing their 0-0 Champions League result against Dynamo Kiev and how difficult it will be to replace Yaya Toure, have been drawn to a report in the Manchester Evening News which claims that they could be set to battle with Arsenal for Toni Kroos.
The 26-year old is currently plying his trade for La Liga giants Real Madrid, having moved there from Bayern Munich back in 2014 on a six-year deal.
However, the German ace is already believed to be considering his future in the Spanish capital, with several of Europe’s top clubs interested.
Kroos has been a mainstay in Madrid’s team this term, starting 25 games, and accumulating 1 goal and 8 assists in the process. However, with former Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola set to take charge at City next season, he could look to sign Kroos, who played under him in Germany.
Yaya Toure has been heavily linked with a permanent departure from the Etihad Stadium, whilst Kroos would be a suitable replacement as a box-to-box engine in the heart of the Blues’ midfield.
Manchester City fans, would you like to see Kroos in a sky blue shirt next season? Let us know in the comments below!
