There have been some raised voices over by the bar after our resident Manchester City fans discovered that they will be rivalling Arsenal for a potential player as well as the Premier League title.
The Sun report that the Blues will compete with the Gunners for the signature of Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, who has been a long-term target of Arsenal.
Word around the Tavern suggests that Arsene Wenger is eyeing the Poland international as a possible replacement for veterans Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini. However, incoming City coach Pep Guardiola is also eyeing up the 26-year old.
Reports indicate that Guardiola has kept tabs on the £25million-rated midfielder over the past two years, with European powerhouses Juventus and Real Madrid also interested.
Krychowiak has been a mainstay in the Sevilla side and has made 20 league appearances from a possible 28 for the La Liga outfit this term.
With both Arsenal and City likely to secure Champions League football for next seaosn, Krychowiak may be persuaded to swap Spain for England next season.
