Manchester City may make a surprise loan move for Schalke star Sebastian Rudy.
Indeed, it’s thought that Guardiola wants cover for the impressive Fernandinho, who has been one of his standout performers in recent times.
The Spaniard knows Rudy well from his time in Germany and he has struggled for form at Schalke this season, so his current club may be open to a short loan if there’s a fee involved.
Sebastian Rudy is arguably one of the best defensive midfielders in Germany but he just hasn’t been able to enjoy regular minutes on the field in the current campaign.
A loan move would make sense for City as it means that they can go out and sign one of their top targets at the end of the season, with Rudy doing the job for the meantime.
