The Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that Pep Guardiola stays in charge for a number of years…
The Spaniard has won it all since he started his career in management, with stellar spells with Barcelona and Bayern Munich preceding his stint in Manchester.
His spells so far have been relatively short-term, though, and the Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that his move to the Premier League could be the start of a dynasty.
That being said, if his latest recruit is anything to go by, it would appear as though they could be in luck.
According to the Sun, Man City have beaten the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona to sign 15-year-old defender Richard Dionkou.
Currently playing for Real Mallorca, Dionkou is just 15-years-old – meaning that he won’t link up with his new club until the end of the year.
Guardiola desperately needs to reduce the average age of the Man City first team, with the likes of Yaya Toure, David Silva and co – key players under previous managers – closing in on the twilight of their careers. Dionkou is the latest in a long line of players to make the move to the Etihad.
After a rocky few weeks, Pep Guardiola is beginning to steady the ship at the Etihad. The Spaniard has had success in recent weeks with young players, with the arrival of young Gabriel Jesus proving vital. Dionkou will likely need more time to adapt, but could he be a star? Our landlord thinks so…
