Roberto Mancini has enquired about Bari’s £6m-rated defender Leonardo Bonucci as he attempts to bolster his defence. Mancini has been linked with a host of defenders including Ivan Cordoba, Maicon and Simon Kjaer and whilst Inter mull over a Cordoba deal, Bari could be willing to let the 22 year old defender go.
Mancini has attempted to sign a number of former players from his tenure in Italy and Bonucci is another, having been given his break in Inter’s youth team by the manager.
At just 22, the defender who can play at center back as well as on either flank, has already played for 4 clubs including Inter and his composed strong and effective style have seen Bari conceed the second least amount of goals in Serie A only behind champions Inter.
