Man United aiming to complete imminent deal for PSG star

MarquinhosManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have ordered the bar’s TV be put on mute, as they discuss one exciting transfer report.

Fichajes state that Manchester United are working to complete the signing of Brazilian defender Marquinhos from Paris Saint-Germain in the coming days.

The talented South American is highly-rated within the French capital but has found first-team football difficult to come by, with compatriots Thiago Silva and David Luiz ahead of him in the pecking order.

Metro state Marquinhos is valued at £36.7m and United are desperate to bring in the youngster to bolster their defensive line, which has struggled at times this season.

A deal for Marquinhos would be a major coup for the Red Devils, who have chased him since the summer, with the added bonus that he fits into Louis Van Gaal’s criteria of young players that can create a legacy at Old Trafford beyond his retirement.

Persuading PSG into a sale in January will be a difficult task though and it isn’t one our landlord believes the Red Devils will be able to pull off, stating that he believes Marquinhos will stay put until at least the summer.
