The Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are all confident of securing a deal for Ben Brereton.
They think he’s one of the best young talents in the country and his impressive start to professional football certainly backs that up.
And owing to the fact that he is only 17 years of age, the teenage striker has not yet penned a professional deal with Nottingham Forest.
In fact, Brereton is not allowed to sign a professional contract with the Reds until his 18th birthday, which just so happens to be next month.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been monitoring this situation closely and are attempting to prise him away from Forest on the cheap.
However, Brereton’s current deal does not expire until the end of next season and his manager Mark Warburton has insisted that they want to keep him at Forest.
But Warburton has conceded that ever player has his price.
According to The Mirror, Warburton said:
“We are delighted with Ben Brereton, he has good people behind him and I’m sure common sense will prevail in terms of his contract.
“Ben is enjoying his football and we enjoy him being here.
“Every player has a price but the best place for him is here at Forest.”
The England under-19 international recently won the Championship Apprentice of the Year award and he is one of the most highly rated young English players coming through at the moment.
