Man United, Chelsea & Man City all watched impressive star during Germany 1-0 England

Fans were glued to the TV in the Transfer Tavern as England slipped to a 1-0 defeat in Germany last night, and it seems it wasn’t just supporters keeping a keen eye on the game, with ESPN reporting that Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea were all monitoring defender Antonio Rudiger.

The Roma centre-back played the full 90 minutes in a much-changed side under Joachim Low after missing the entirety of EURO 2016 with a serious knee injury.

He made his club comeback in October and has worked his way back to full fitness, which has seemingly alerted a host of big clubs.

ESPN claim that Man City, Man United and Chelsea were all watching him at Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park, with the Blues back in the race after keeping tabs on him ahead of last summer, prior to his aforementioned injury, and after his return during January.

It’s understood all three clubs are keen to secure reinforcements at centre-back when the current season ends, with Rudiger, 24, seen as a viable option.

Although Roma want to keep their man, ESPN state that the former Stuttgart ace is open to the idea of playing in the Premier League.

Antonio Rudiger is ideally suited to Antonio Conte’s 3-4-2-1 set-up – agree?
