Man United clear to sign in-form attacker as competitors pull out

BigliaManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are relieved to hear that they will face no competition in the chase for an attacking signing, which they feel their side desperately needs.

TalkSport confirm that Inter Milan have pulled out of the race to sign Lazio’s Lucas Biglia, leaving Manchester United with a free path to sign the exciting winger.

Inter, led by former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, were reported to be lodging a massive bid for the 29-year-old but the Italian has revealed he is targeting additions in other areas instead.

“Biglia? I don’t think so. We may need somebody in other positions.”

The Italian side are currently locked in one of the most exciting Serie A title battles in recent years and Biglia, who has scored three goals in nine appearances this season, was believed to be a top-target for the Milan-based outfit.

However, United’s own ambitions have received a boost following this news and fans in the bar believe their side should move for Biglia- who they state matches their criteria perfectly.
