Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern bar this afternoon for the latest batch of Premier League fixtures finally got the positive news they were searching for, as reports suggest an imminent big signing.
The Daily Mail states that Manchester United have edged closer to the signature of Benfica’s Renato Sanches after holding more talks with the teenager on Friday, in a deal likely to be worth around half of his £60m release clause.
It’s the second time that United have held talks with the Portuguese side regarding Sanches, having watched four of his last three games, and the 18-year-old could be loaned back to his current side for the remainder of the season.
European giants have been monitoring Sanches and United are keen for a bidding war not to take place, as they aim to move swiftly to negotiate a deal.
Capable of playing down the middle or out-wide, Sanches could become a huge part of the Red Devils’ future and our landlord is aware of his talent, stating he’d be an excellent acquisition.
