Man United confident they’ll win battle over £34m-rated star

The Manchester United fans here have been relentlessly pestering staff for news of the likes of Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez, so much so that they seem to have completely forgotten about another Real Madrid deal.

Rewind a couple of weeks and it looked certain that United shot-stopper David de Gea would be packing his bags and returning home to Madrid to join the back-to-back Champions League winners this summer.

However, after recent reports suggested that Zinedine Zidane had cooled his interest in the £34m-rated ‘keeper talk had died down.

While that may be true, reports from the Independent claim that the Spaniards are still looking to involve the three-time United Player of the Year in any deal which would see Morata move to Old Trafford.

The powers the be in the Spanish capital may still be keen on the former Atletico Madrid man, however, the report also claims that their counterparts in Manchester remain confident that their main man will be staying put this summer.

In addition to that, our landlord reckons that Jose Mourinho has more than enough about him to convince De Gea that Old Trafford is the place to be over the next few seasons as the former Chelsea boss looks to carry out his plan to take United back to the top.

United fans, we want to hear from you! Do you think the club have done enough to keep De Gea or will he be moving on this summer? Let us know in the comments below…
