Man United edge closer to £35m January addition

AndersonManchester United fans have gathered early in the Transfer Tavern to say goodbye to a forgetful 2015 and they’re much more confident heading into the New Year, with a staggering deal on the cards.

The Sun states United are edging closer to a £35m deal that will bring Felipe Anderson to the club from Italian outfit Lazio.

The Red Devils have been tracking the Brazilian star for some time and officials have been in Rome to iron out the final details of a deal, that would see Manchester United match the agreed figure Anderson has in his Lazio contract.

Louis Van Gaal’s United are in need of a fresh spark heading into 2016 as they’ve quickly slipped out of the title race and into a excruciatingly tight battle for Champions League football, where they face competition from an in-form Tottenham side and arch-rivals Liverpool, amongst others.

A deal is well on the road, according to insiders, which has led to our punters being confident that a deal to bring the South American to the Premier League will be completed imminently. However, they’re concerned that giving Van Gaal more money to waste isn’t the right call.

United fans, is Anderson a decent signing or will he be another flop? Let us know in the comments below!
