Man United ready mammoth £90 million bid to lure one of the world’s best players

bale3Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been taken aback by suggestions they are willing to pay a phenomenal fee to land a long-term target.

The Sunday Times state United CEO Ed Woodward is ready to pay whatever it takes to bring Gareth Bale to the club in the summer, in a deal that could cost up to £90m.

United are long-term admirers of Bale and are hopeful they can use the current situation at Real Madrid to their advantage, with the Welsh ace said to be extremely unhappy with the decision to sack Rafael Benitez last week.

However, Bale made a quick impression under new boss Zinedine Zidane at the weekend as he netted a hat-trick that saw him reach a landmark of 50 goals for the Spanish giants.

Whether Bale can genuinely be prized away from Los Blancos clutches remains to be seen but it’s apparent United are ready to take advantage should that situation arise- though our landlord believes this deal remains a pipe-dream.

United fans, is Bale really worth £90m? Would you be happy to spend that much and bring him to England? Let us know in the comments below!
