Man United eyeing move for European giant’s quality manager

BlancManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have gathered for today’s crucial FA Cup quarter-final clash with West Ham United and they’re well aware of the fact that a defeat would bring a premature end to their season.

Louis Van Gaal remains under intense pressure at Old Trafford and many are expecting him to be replaced this summer- and there’s a new name floating around the bar.

The Star on Sunday report that Manchester United have identified Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc as a shock target to replace their under-fire manager, who’s spent two mediocre years in the north West of England.

The Frenchman, a former defender with United, has joined Jose Mourinho and United’s current assistant manager Ryan Giggs on the shortlist for potential managerial replacements for Van Gaal- although the club’s hierarchy is continuing to back the Dutchman.

Our landlord feels Blanc is a much better option to Giggs and Mourinho, stating the latter is simply not capable of rebuilding the club’s lacklustre squad.

United fans, would Blanc be a better option than Mourinho? Let us know in the comments below!
