Man United eyeing move for European top scorer, scouted him this weekend

JanssenManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern crying out for a quality striker to be brought in this summer have been handed a new name this morning, which has raised some eyebrows.

De Telegraaf states Manchester United are eyeing a move for AZ Alkmaar forward Vincent Janssen, as they sent scouts to watch the striker in action against PSV Eindhoven this weekend.

Having only made his debut for the Dutch side last year, Janssen has enjoyed a meteoric rise and his goal tally stands at 20 in 28 games- with a record that’s attracted vast attention across Europe, with Paris Saint-Germain and Everton also chasing his signature.

At just 21-year-old, Janssen is showing great prospect for the future and United’s quest to boast the best youngsters they possibly can makes their interest understandable. However, whether he’s the right calibre of forward depends to be seen.

The worry for Manchester United though may be their inability to attract bigger names, due to the risk that they might not have Champions League football to offer.

Manchester United fans, do you want a bigger name than Janssen? Let us know in the comments below!
