Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are feeling on top of the world after yesterday’s surprise win over Arsenal and the fans in the bar have celebrated with plenty of drinks in the past 24 hours.
Feeling a bit worse for wear this morning, the lads have found themselves a quiet spot over by the sofas but their recovery from a hangover has been interrupted by the latest reports concerning their search for a full-back.
The Daily Star states Manchester United are eyeing a shock move for Hull City left-back Andrew Robertson, with the 21-year-old Scottish international impressing in the Championship this season.
United’s search for a new left-back is down to the continued absence of England international Luke Shaw, who broke his leg early on in the season and continues to remain absent- with question marks as to whether he will make Roy Hodgson’s squad for the European Championships.
There’s a wealth of interest in Robertson’s services though, with a trio of Premier League sides rivalling United’s quest to sign the talented defender.
Our landlord isn’t sure another young left-back is what United need, as he concedes that Shaw is the perfect prospect for the coming years.
