The Manchester United supporting punters who were present in the Transfer Tavern on Tuesday evening were delighted to see their team score three goals for the second game running, as they thumped Stoke City 3-0 at Old Trafford.
It was just the tonic for their ardent supporters, who had been disappointed with boss Louis van Gaal’s activity during the transfer Deadline Day frolics.
One eye appears to have been turned towards the summer recruitment drive however and one United supporter here in the Tavern has spotted an article in The Sun that suggests Barcelona forward Neymar is in line for a record breaking £144m move to Manchester in the summer.
The article claims that the player’s dad has confirmed that his son might be on the move in the near future, placing United on red alert for the Brazilian talent.
Our knowledgeable landlord isn’t convinced by this news and says he will believe it when he sees it, stating that Neymar is made for life over at the Nou Camp, so why would he risk coming to United in their current plight.
United fans… Do you agree with the landlord? Would Neymar come to Old Trafford? Let us know in the comments below!
