Man United fans on Twitter can’t believe Mourinho’s comments before the FA Cup final

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been slating Jose Mourinho as he claimed today that Michael Carrick will not play in tomorrow’s FA Cup final, meaning the 36-year-old’s last game in a United shirt came last week against Watford. The news has disappointed the fans, who have taken a pop up at the Portuguese tactician for the decision.

Jose Mourinho, for all of his flaws, could win his third trophy in his two years at Old Trafford if he can get the better of his former club, Chelsea tomorrow. Tomorrow evening, when 5:15 pm rolls around, the majority of English football fans will be crowding around their TV’s to watch the FA Cup final. The competition that Jose Mourinho has only ever won once before is up for grabs at Wembley as both club’s look to improve their seasons.

Whilst the trophy will definitely mean more to Chelsea because of the way they missed out on Champions League football, an FA Cup win for Manchester United will be an incredible achievement as it would see them draw level with Arsenal as the side with the most wins of the competition with 13. Antonio Conte’s Chelsea will provide a tough side to get past though, as it could be the Italian’s last game for the Blues and he’ll want to go out with a bang.
