Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been on a rollercoaster ride in the past few months due to managerial speculation but they’ve been treated to a massive rise today with some positive reports.
The Manchester Evening News quotes Jose Mourinho as confirming the details of his next managerial position, stating that he will start a new job in July.
Mourinho has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea in December and he’s remained the favourite to replace Louis Van Gaal at Manchester United ever since- especially with Pep Guardiola taking charge across the city.
As speculation continues to mount, Mourinho has told BT Sport that he’ll take a new role in the summer– which could see him take charge at Old Trafford, with Louis Van Gaal failing to achieve the minimum expectation of qualifying for the Champions League.
After a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in the first-leg of their Europa League round of 16 clash, United are set to have another avenue to Europe’s elite competition blocked off and our landlord feels it’s another black mark upon Van Gaal.
United fans, will you be led by Mourinho next season? Let us know in the comments below!
