Man United hero linked to vacant Swansea City job

Giggs 4The Swansea City fans playing pool in the Transfer Tavern are discussing reports that the club are considering bringing a Welsh legend to the club as manager.

The Independent is reporting that the Welsh club are considering making an approach for Ryan Giggs to become the club’s new manager.

Giggs is currently assistant to Louis Van Gaal at Manchester United and any move would depend on whether or not Swansea can tempt him away from his comfort zone of Old Trafford.

Giggs has been touted to succeed Van Gaal as the next manager of Manchester United whenever that may be, but it is thought that he may take the opportunity of managing another club before that day comes.

It will be interesting to see if Giggs will become the next member of the 1992 youth squad to take their first step into management following Gary Neville, who recently took over at Valencia.

The Swansea fans in The Transfer Tavern have laughed off suggestions that Giggs will be the club’s next manager and don’t see him as a contender for the role.

Swansea fans, would you like Giggs to lead your side? Let us know in the comments below!
