Manchester United and Arsenal have gone toe-to-toe with his other for big players before and it seems the battle will recommence this summer, with whispers of a new fight emerging in the Transfer Tavern.
Wales Online state Manchester United are hopeful of beating Premier League rivals Arsenal to the signature of Exeter City wonderkid Ethan Ampadu, who’s regarded as one of Britain’s brightest young talents.
Arsenal have already established links with the younger as his father, former Republic of Ireland international Kwame Ampadu, currently works within the youth ranks with the north London giants.
The Red Devils are worried that the relationship the player’s father already has with Arsenal will see the 16-year-old rejected their own advances but they remain hopeful that their record with young talent will lead Ampadu to seek a career at Old Trafford.
Louis Van Gaal has entrusted a wealth of young players with first-team football at Manchester United this season, with Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford and Timothy Fosu-Mensah successfully bled into the first-team picture.
