Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are excited to see Jose Mourinho preparing to splash the cash further this summer, having already spent £30m to bring Eric Bailly in from Villarreal.
Now, Spanish outlet Marca state Mourinho will focus on rebuilding Manchester United’s attacking line and, as a result, the Portuguese boss has joined the hunt for Juventus’ quality striker Alvaro Morata.
Morata has excelled in Juventus in recent years but he’s likely to be on the move this summer, with Real Madrid possessing a buy-back clause in the player’s contract and they’re likely to activate that deal this summer, before selling the 23-year-old Spaniard on for a profit.
Having already worked with the young striker at Real Madrid, Mourinho is keen on a reunion with the Euro 2016 forward and will rival the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea in the hunt for the player’s services.
However, such a signing will not come cheap as Real Madrid are likely to demand at least £30m for the signature of the forward- and that price could be driven higher with a bidding war.
