Our landlord's having to calm down the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, having been angered by the Manchester United patrons' treatment of their club icon John Terry.

The former England skipper will be remembered as the greatest player in Chelsea's history, on course to win a fifth Premier League title with the Blues whilst already boasting a Champions League title, a Europa League title, five FA Cups and four League Cups.

Earlier this week, the 36-year-old announced that he'll leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season, having struggled to force his way into Antonio Conte's plans since the Italian gaffer switched to a 3-4-3 formation earlier in the campaign.

That has lead to widespread praise and endorsement of Terry's trophy-laden career in west London from pundits and fans alike, but not every set of supporters have reacted to the news with the same sincerity.

Indeed, United supporters - both online and in the Tavern - have seen Terry's announcement as an opportunity to rub some more salt in the wounds, after the defender famously slipped in the penalty shootout to gift Manchester United the 2007/08 Champions League title.

Here's a look at what Red Devils fans have been getting up to on Twitter...
