Man United legend puts his reputation on the line as it emerges he was behind huge deadline day deal

Few fans have more questioning of big money moves quite like the Red Devils, who witnessed a relatively unknown French youngster, Anthony Martial, arrive at Old Trafford for a eye catching fee of £36 million.

Despite the 19-year-old clearly having some potential, many Manchester faithful have been left questioning where this huge bid first came from.

Well, today, Metro are reporting that club legend and current assistant manager to Louis van Gaal,  Ryan Giggs, had been scouting the ex-Monaco poacher for over a year and he was the man who convinced the Dutchman to sign the future world beater.

Giggs has really put the reputation of his legendary name on the line here, and could be left red faced if the gamble doesn’t pay off!
