The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are unsure whether Henrikh Mkhitaryan has a future at Old Trafford.
The Armenian international has fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho and could be set to leave in the January transfer window.
According to reports in Italy, Inter Milan could pursue a deal for Mkhitaryan.
Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport (reported via The Daily Mail) is suggesting that Inter Milan could launch a loan bid for the Manchester United midfielder in the January transfer window, although they would have to sell to land their man due to financial fair play restrictions.
Manchester United have reportedly been scouring the market for the 28-year-old’s replacement already.
This search has led them to three key targets, according to The Daily Mail’s report, who could be pursued in the upcoming January window or in the summer instead.
The Red Devils will try to snap up Mesut Ozil on a free transfer in the summer when the Germany international’s contract with Arsenal expires.
But they could make a move beforehand and they have already contacted Chelsea about the possibility of signing Willian.
And Willian’s fellow Brazilian Malcom – who plays on the wing for Ligue 1 side Bordeaux – is another option.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan undoubtedly has plenty of talent but Jose Mourinho does not appear to be a fan and therefore is looking for a replacement.
Willian and Ozil would bring Premier League experience and proven talent in the top flight at a potentially cut price fee.
Meanwhile, Malcom is just 20-years-old but is already a top performer in the French league and he could be one for the future.
