Manchester United fans here in the Tavern will be desperate to see a number of players join the club this summer, as they failed to secure silverware in the FA Cup final yesterday.
The Red Devils will be desperate to secure silverware next season after failing to meet expectations this season, as the summer transfer window will be of huge importance to United. Although, it looks as if Jose Mourinho is already eyeing up a potential signing, as according to the Mirror, Manchester United are planning a £35 million transfer raid for Atletico Madrid’s Sime Vrsaljko.
Interestingly, it’s understood that Jose Mourinho will kick off Manchester United’s summer spending spree with a £35 million swoop for Atletico Madrid star Sime Vrsaljko.
It’s believed that negotiations are already underway with the Spanish club over a move for the defender.
Indeed, the Croatian has formed a core part of the Atletico backline that has tasted plenty of success in Europe during the past couple of seasons. And, he will be heading to the World Cup next month, having featured heavily in Croatia’s qualification for Russia this summer.
The right-back has been sensational this season for Spanish side Atletico Madrid as he continues to improve, so a move to Manchester United would be just reward for his efforts thus far. And, after failing to challenge bitter rivals Manchester City this season, perhaps bringing the Croatian to the club will help close the gap next season.
