Man United look to hijack £19m deal from Premier League rival

vangaal0Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have made it quite clear to our poor barmaid that they’re extremely unhappy with their lack of movement in the window so far- but it seems that may be about to change.

The Express state Manchester United have joined the hunt for £19m-rated CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa, who has attracted vast interest from Premier League leaders Leicester City this month.

United want to improve their attacking options before the window slams shut on Monday evening and they’re ready to compete with the Foxes for the 23-year-old, with it understood Claudio Ranieri’s side have already seen a £15.1m bid rejected.

Leicester are expected to make a move again before Monday’s close of the window but the interest of United presents potential problems, as the lure of Old Trafford could be too much for the Foxes to compete with.

With United scoring the least goals out of the top eight sides in the Premier League table, it’s clear Louis Van Gaal’s lacklustre side need recruits in the final days of the window.

Our landlord believes Musa should move to Leicester rather than United, as he’s not convinced the player would survive beyond Louis Van Gaal’s tenure.

United fans, is Musa a striker you want at Old Trafford? Let us know in the comments below!
