Man United looking to sign Euro 2016 hopeful in £22m deal

BernardeschiManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are keeping all ears and eyes on the latest reports concerning their club, with a new name popping up in the tabloids today.

TalkSport cite reports from Italy which state the Red Devils are keen to capture Fiorentina winger Federico Bernardeschi, who’s likely to make Italy’s squad for this summer’s European Championships.

The 22-year-old wide-man has been a major asset for Fiorentina in the Serie A this season, making 35 appearances across all competitions, and made his debut for Antonio Conte’s Italy side against Spain last month.

With Fiorentina struggling to assure themselves of Champions League football next term, it’s understood Bernardeschi will consider his future and United are preparing to watch the winger in Euro 2016 action, before lodging a £22m offer.

Manchester United have been eyeing wide players for the majority of the season given their struggles in this area and Bernardeschi would certainly add a boost to United’s ranks, putting pressure upon the misfiring Memphis Depay.
