Man United make approach to land PSG boss

BlancManchester United fans assembling in the Transfer Tavern for the start of their FA Cup campaign were discussing reports of their managerial search before the kick-off, with opinions split on a new target.

The Daily Star, reporting via Le 10 Sport, state that United have enquired to the services of Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc as they prepare for life without Louis Van Gaal.

United have struggled this season and suffered the embarrassment of an early exit from the Champions League, whilst they face a battle to land a spot on the top-four and a place in Europe’s elite competition next term.

Pressure is rising upon Van Gaal, with speculation rife over the festive period, and it’s stated United’s enquiry was exploring the option of Blanc coming in midway through the season as well as potentially at the end of the campaign.

United’s decline in the past few years following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson has been well documented and our fans are concerned that Blanc is not the right man to steer them back on track, instead being the Frenchman as another stop-gap.
