Arsenal and Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are preparing to see their sides go head-to-head, after both clubs were linked with a move for an exciting forward.
TalkSport claim both Manchester United and Arsenal are considering a swoop for Atletico Madrid forward Luciano Vietto, who only moved to the Vicente Calderon from fellow Spanish outfit Villarreal last summer.
A big move across Spain didn’t materialise for the 22-year-old, who scored just three goals in his maiden campaign in the Spanish capital, but the young Argentine still has his stock rated highly after scoring 20 goals in the previous season with Villarreal.
Both Premier League sides are looking for improvements in the attacking areas this summer and whilst Vietto on his own may not be the solution, the young talent would certainly give both clubs a decent option.
Our landlord is questioning whether United really need the player though, as they already have Wayne Rooney, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, whilst there’s intense speculation that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could join.
Would Vietto be a good signing for either club? Let us know in the comments below!
