Our resident Manchester United supporting punters here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are intrigued at the news coming in from reports in France via Talksport – with the publication suggesting that the Red Devils are plotting a double deal for Marseille duo Michy Batshuayi and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.
Batshuayi’s name has been bandied around the Transfer Tavern a lot recently, with a host of Premier League clubs keeping tabs on the talented Belgian forward.
The former Anderlecht forward has been in top form for the Ligue 1 outfit this season, having notched 13 goals so far this season – and it seems his performances have caught the attention of United boss Louis van Gaal, with the club sending out representatives to watch the man in action on the weekend.
It seems that United are also keen on a deal for Marseille winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou – and he is a name that most of the United punters here in the Tavern are unaware of, but our knowledgeable landlord has heaped praise on the 21-year-old winger, and says he could be an incredibly shrewd buy for the Red Devils!
The publication claims that scouts from Everton and Crystal Palace also went to watch the in-form Batshuayi in action at the weekend, but United fans here in the Tavern are confident they can win the race to sign the in demand player.
