Man United plot staggering deal to land Chelsea’s star-man

HazardPunters in the Transfer Tavern almost fell off their bar stools in shock this afternoon, after reading audacious reports that would send shockwaves throughout the Premier League.

The Daily Star states Manchester United have turned their attention to Chelsea’s Eden Hazard after hitting a brick wall in their quest to secure Gareth Bale from Real Madrid.

24-year-old Belgian sensation landed the Premier League Player of the Year award last season following his impressive displays to help the Blues to the league title but he has struggled in the first-half of this campaign, yet to score a single goal in the league.

Hazard has been heavily linked with an exit at the end of the season and United have sensationally joined the hunt, preparing a £65m swoop for the highly-rated winger.

Louis Van Gaal is desperately seeking additions to bolster his attacking line, which has struggled this season, whilst his long-term aim is to bring in talented young players that can create a legacy at Old Trafford beyond his retirement.

Chelsea do not want to sell Hazard and it’s extremely unlikely they would approve an exit to a direct Premier League rival, especially with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid heavily courting the former Lille star.

Our landlord has laughed off these suggestions, stating there’s more chance of United finding a world-class striker on Mars than landing Eden Hazard from Chelsea.

Chelsea fans, would you sell Hazard to United for £65m? Let us know in the comments below!
