Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are in mixed views as the festive season draws to a close, as they enjoyed the time off work but didn’t enjoy any fortune on the field, as the Red Devils continued to struggle.
However, there is reason to be excited as The Daily Star state Louis Van Gaal is preparing a lucrative swoop for Lazio star Felipe Anderson, to the tune of £33m.
Manchester United have been lacklustre in the Premier League this season and are fortunate that other sides have also struggled, which means the Red Devils are still capable of returning to Champions League football next season.
Anderson has been on Manchester United’s reader for some time but only now is a move potentially emerging, with United desperately needing a fresh approach in the new year to kickstart their faltering season into gear.
United fans in the bar like the idea of bringing in players of Anderson’s calibre but are reluctant for the board to hand too much cash to Van Gaal, believing he is not leading the club in the right direction and should be offload.
United fans, can Felipe Anderson provide the spark you need? Let us know in the comments below!
