Man United ready audacious £51m striker swoop

LewandowskiManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are trying to be merry in the festive spirit but their current form has made a rather bleak outlook for the fans. Fortunately, some spirits have been raised by recent transfer report.

The Daily Star, reporting via Mundo Deportivo, state the Red Devils have put Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski at the top of their transfer wish-list.

27-year-old Lewandowski has been in blistering form for the Bavarian side this season but he could leave German football, following confirmation that Pep Guardiola will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the current season.

It’s stated that Manchester United will test the water with a swoop for the striker, who is valued at an astonishing price of £51m, but Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on the Polish international.

Whether Bayern will accept an exit for their star man remains to be seen but United are desperate to land their man, with their current strike force struggling this term, and our fans are unanimous in their belief that Lewandowski can propel United to greater things.
