Man United ready to bring heroic figure back to Old Trafford

It is his last chance for a big moveManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are burning the ears of our waitresses this evening by excitedly informing them of news they’ve hard too many times before- but this time it seems it may genuinely happen.

The Sun state Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to return to Old Trafford when his current deal with Real Madrid expires in 2018.

Since making the switch from the Premier League to La Liga, Ronaldo has consistently been linked with a return to United. Whilst that’s been a dream in the past, it’s slowly becoming a reality as links between the two parties intensify.

Despite a return still being two years away, it would be a significant deal for the Red Devils as their marketing aspects would be boosted significantly by the sales of shirts with his number on- and there’s no worry that Ronaldo will have lost his goal-scoring touch by then.

Our landlord still isn’t convinced though, as he believes Ronaldo could end up being the latest megastar to move to the MLS- especially as the Portuguese icon’s deal with Madrid conveniently expires at the same that David Beckham’s franchise across the pond begins.

United fans, would you want a 33-year-old Ronaldo back at Old Trafford? Let us know in the comments below!
