It’s been another dramatic season for the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern and the lads in the bar are hoping to sneak into the top-four spots during the final few games of the campaign.
Fans will also be hoping for some major additions in the summer transfer market and it seems the club has set their sights on some excellent additions, with Spanish outlet El Confidencial stating United are ready to match Antoine Griezmann’s release clause.
The 25-year-old French international has excelled with Atletico Madrid since moving across La Liga from Real Sociedad and has netted an impressive 56 goals across two campaigns with the Madrid outfit, making him one of Europe’s finest strikers.
Griezmann netted against Bayern Munich last night to send Atletico to their second Champions League final in three seasons but United could land his signature this summer, as they prepare to match his mammoth £63m release-clause.
Atletico don’t want to sell but will be hapless to keep Griezmann if he decides to move and that figure is met, although our landlord is convinced more of Europe’s elite will join the hunt for the striker’s signature after this summer’s European Championships.
