The Daily Mirror states Manchester United have renewed their interest in Real Madrid’s World Cup winning midfielder Toni Kroos, who could be a victim of a massive squad overhaul in the Spanish capital this summer.

Despite still being in the La Liga title race and just one victory away from the Champions League final, it’s been a fairly disappointing season for Real Madrid overall and there’s the possibility of wholesale changes this summer.

Kroos, who was first linked with Manchester United two-years ago, would bolster the Red Devils midfield but the re-emergence of the links raise further questions about Louis Van Gaal’s future, as he pulled the plug on a swoop for Kroos back in 2014.

Van Gaal has one-year remaining on his contract and wants to stay at Old Trafford but our landlord doesn’t feel he’ll get that opportunity.

Would Kroos be the perfect signing for Manchester United? Let us know in the comments below!
