Man United scout incredible European midfielder on orders of new boss

Renato SanchesManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are counting down the days until Jose Mourinho takes charge, with many in the bar declaring that they feel a deal for the Portuguese boss is imminent whilst they order their drinks.

Claims that Mourinho will take charge at Old Trafford have received another boost from the latest reports, as The Daily Express cites reports that state the Red Devils scouted Renato Sanches in action for Benfica last night on orders from Mourinho himself.

18-year-old Renato Sanches is rated as one of the most exciting prospects in European football and United face a immense battle for his signature, though it’s stated United will offer a deal worth around £45m to see off rival interest from Juventus and Real Madrid.

Sanches has excelled this season, starring in the recent Portuguese derby as he set up Kostas Mitroglou in Benfica’s 2-1 victory over Porto, and his performances in the Champions League have also been admirable.

Our landlord is concerned that United need proven quality for that sort of price though and he’s stated that the Red Devils are not currently in a position where they can take such a risk.

United fans, should you pay the asking price for Renato Sanches or should you seek alternative targets? Let us know in the comments below!
