It’s been a good weekend for Manchester United fans, who overcame rivals Manchester City yesterday and kept themselves in the fight for a top-four finish, and another piece of good news has fallen their way today.
Spanish outlet Don Balon state the Red Devils have been given the green-light to land Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid this summer, with the Red Devils set to beat Arsenal to the signature of the midfield ace.
Saul has been on the shortlist for both club’s ahead of the summer, with recent reports stating Arsenal had tabled a £23m bid for his services, and Atletico are losing patience with the 21-year-old who’s reluctant to sign a new deal.
The talented midfielder sees his current deal expire in 2020 and has been a crucial asset to Atletico in this year’s title race, scoring eight goals in 26 appearances and becoming a key-part of Diego Simeone’s side.
With United undoubtably the more financially stable of the two Premier League clubs, our landlord believes the Red Devils have the capability to blow Arsenal out of the water and win the race for his signature.
