Manchester United's time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer couldn't have gotten off to a better start, with the Red Devils winning all four of their games under the Norwegian with relative ease.

Solskjaer will be hoping to see out the rest of the season with his team hitting similar form, and a place in the top four is now looking more and more like a realistic proposition.

However, it remains to be seen just how much Ed Woodward and the United board are willing to back a temporary manager in January, with a central defender a must get for United if they are to have any hope of having success this term.

With that thought in mind, we at the Tavern think the board need to act and make a big purchase in that position, and one man we think could be a superb signing is PSG and France defender Presnel Kimpembe, who has been brilliant in the last 12 months or so and really looks like being a top defender in the making.

A regular for the French champions last term and now a fully fledged member of the national side under Didier Deschamps, the £27m-rated star certainly looks like being a star in the making.

Kimpembe has all the ability in the world, and at just 23, he is the right sort of age for a defender should United decide to make their move.

If United want to make a splash and prove they can attract the big names away from fellow big clubs, then targeting someone like Kimpembe might be the ideal sort of move.

Man U fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
