With Man United looking back on track under Jose Mourinho, a big summer is expected at Old Trafford ahead of what is going to be an interesting season for the Red Devils, who are back in the Champions League once more.
Mourinho has set his sights on even more success following their trophy winning campaign last time out, and new signings will no doubt be making their way through the door in the summer.
The United fans here in the Tavern are in a confident mood heading into the 2017/18 season though, and rightly so. Our landlord has been spending some time with them over by the jukebox this week, getting their thoughts on other summer incomings we might see.
One player who he dropped into conversation this week is French star and AS Monaco player Thomas Lemar.
The 21-year-old midfielder had an excellent game in midweek for his national team against and out of sorts England, and did his chances of earning a big money move to the Premier League no harm whatsoever.
Lemar looks to have all the attributes to become a top, top player, and there will no doubt be a plethora of clubs interested in his signature when the market begins to hot up in July and August.
Blessed with bags of energy and excellent on the ball, Lemar would add some real bit and youthfulness to the United midfield, something which could be argued is lacking at times.
United fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
