Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have had a lot to discuss this season but the latest talking point is something they’re definitely not used to.
The Sun indicates United’s first-team misfit Adnan Januzaj is ready to turn his back on Belgium and switch international allegiances to feature for Kosovo, who are expected to get their UEFA approval next month.
Januzaj’s disastrous season, where he flopped on-loan with Borussia Dortmund and has struggled to earn playing time with Manchester United, means he’s almost certain to miss out on Belgium’s Euro 2016 squad, with the Red Devils entering the tournaments amongst the favourites.
As Kosovo were not recognised as a member of UEFA or FIFA before Januzaj decided to feature for Belgium, with whom he has six appearances, so he’s allowed to switch national allegiances once Kosovo get their membership.
Our United fans in the bar are not really bothered who he represents though as they feel he’s had a very poor season and doesn’t deserve to be representing any international side.
What should United do with Januzaj? Let us know in the comments below!
