Just when we thought it couldn’t get any worse for Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern, who have hidden from the real world in the past few days, more reports broke to suggest disscontempt within the squad.
Manchester Evening News cite The Times as reporting Manchester United’s players are bemused by tactical decisions made by Louis Van Gaal, as the pressure upon the Dutchman continues to rise.
It’s stated that there is resentment amongst the squad towards Van Gaal, with the latest bizarre decision coming on Tuesday evening as he elected to throw Nick Powell on against Wolfsburg- despite the fact the midfielder has been absent from the first-team for the past 16 months.
It’s evidence of the growing problem behind the scenes at Old Trafford, with the issues beginning at the start of the season when Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick confronted their boss to reveal concerns of the disrupted harmony in the dressing room.
For our United fans, who have spent an awful lot of time distracting themselves playing pool, it’s another sign that Van Gaal isn’t the manager to take the club forward and that immediate changes must be made.
