Bad news for the Man United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern…
With the Man United fans in the Tavern being very quiet last week, after suffering 3 consecutive defeats – they are back in full voice this week.
A dominant display against Leicester has brought Mourinho back on side and the United fans in attendance are dreaming of a title win this season.
However, just as another round was being poured amid continued celebrations earlier today – news filtered in of a fresh blow for Jose Mourinho’s men.
Phil Jones injury has been discussed in the Tavern recent weeks, but the Sun have revealed that the Englishman has suffered a setback on his road to recovery.
They report that whilst he was expected to have a short spell on the sidelines – the defender now looks set for a prolonged period out, after having a knee brace fitted.
Whilst Jones has yet to really feature under Mourinho, his prolonged injury still comes as a blow to the Man United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern.
United are thin on defensive depth, and the very knowledge of having an able, experienced Premier League defender to call upon if required is important.
An injury will also likely prevent any chance of a sale – so even those who do not feel Jones is good enough aren’t happy with this news.
A definite blow for Mourinho.
