Man United target’s asking price raised to HUGE £48m

Arturo VidalManchester United fans fill the Football Transfer Tavern with frustration after hearing the Italian champions have increased their asking price for their talismanic midfielder as Real Madrid also voice their interest.

According to The Express, Juventus have broken their silence over the availability of Arturo Vidal and say that Manchester United will have to pay £48 million for his services.

Although there is frustration at the high asking price, some fans are excited of the prospect of him trading Turin for the Theatre of Dreams and feel there is a sense of realism of the move happening now a price has been quoted.

But as the story has always been for Louis van Gaal at Manchester United, nothing is plain sailing in the English transfer windows.

Another hurdle he will wish to overcome is the competition they will face from Los Blancos as Carlo Ancelotti is looking to strengthen his midfield too.

Both clubs are stepping up their pursuit of the Chilean international after his recent unprofessional actions in Italy which saw him in a nightclub at 5am just before their rival clash with Roma.

This led to a number of disciplinary actions, including fines and it has now become apparent that the hierarchy at Juve have had enough and are looking to cash in on the 27-year-old.

Manchester United fans. This transfer saga seems to have been running for years now but do you think Vidal is worth the whopping £48 million that has been quoted? Let us know your thoughts below.
