manchester unitedmanchester unitedManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been alerted to some potentially exciting news today, which suggests the club is eyeing a move for a highly-rated talent from Italy.

The Express, citing reports from Goal Italiaindicates that scouts from Manchester United were watching Bologna in action over the weekend, as they kept their eyes on 18-year-old sensation Amadou Diawara.

Teenage prodigy Diawara has proved to be a firm hit in the Serie A after moving to Bologna from San Marino last summer and he’s made 35 appearances in his inaugural season for the Italian minnows, attracting vast interest from across Europe.

As well as Manchester United, there’s another interest from Premier League clubs as Manchester City, Chelsea and West Ham United are all keen on the youngster.

However, United were present in the stands for the Bologna’s 1-0 defeat to Torino and are targeting the player amidst a major midfield reshuffle, which could see the Old Trafford outfit sacrifice Michael Carrick, who’s contract is due to expire, whilst the futures of Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Bastian Schweinsteiger remain in doubt.
