Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are confused as the Manchester Evening Post reveal how the Red Devils may use Adnan Januzaj as bait to sign either Paris Saint-Germain’s Marquinhos or Everton’s Seamus Coleman.
The Belgian international youngster has struggled to fit into Louis van Gaal’s regime at Old Trafford and has found it difficult to get regular game time.
As a result, the 19-year-old has not been given enough of an opportunity to prove himself in front of the former Netherlands boss.
A clear criticism of the Red Devils this season has been their defence and it is no surprise that van Gaal is weighing up his options at the back given he already boasts numerous attacking stars going forward.
Everton are favourites to sign the youngster if the opportunity arises because Roberto Martinez has already shown a clear interest in him and the presence of Belgian international team-mates Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas at Goodison Park could appeal to Januzaj.
Manchester United fans. Are you bewildered that Louis van Gaal could let a talent like Adnan Januzaj slip through the net? Would this be a mistake like Fergie did with letting Paul Pogba leave? Let us know your thoughts below.
