It’s set to be all change at Manchester United this summer and the fans in the Transfer Tavern are discussing a potential exit.
Turkish outlet AMK state Fenerbache are eyeing a move for United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger, who hasn’t had a brilliant debut season in England, with the Turks looking to add another former Red Devils ace to their ranks.
Fenerbache launched a double-raid on United last summer as they signed Nani and Robin Van Persie but a move for Schweinsteiger, 31, would certainly catch the headlines after his transfer to the Premier League last summer was a big occasion.
Despite enjoying a wealth of success with the German national team and Bayern Munich, the veteran has struggled to make an impact in England and with United eyeing midfield recruits this summer, he could find himself surplus to requirements.
The danger though is that United may regret losing such an experienced figure, especially with the wealth of young talent within their squad, and the decision may fall upon Louis Van Gaal’s successor.
Would United be making a mistake if they axed Schweinsteiger? Let us know in the comments below!
