Manchester United

Man United would be getting a great deal if they arrange this transfer

The Red Devils have made their way to the Transfer Tavern today and most of them seem pretty excited at the prospect of Marouane Fellaini leaving the club.

Reports from the Daily Star have revealed that Italian giants Juventus are apparently lining up a £22.5 million bid for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

Our landlord has a few questions regarding this one.

The main one being whether Juventus’ scouts have ever watched a game in which Fellaini has played.

It is still quite surprising how big of a role the Belgian plays within the Manchester United team let alone potentially playing for one of Europe’s elite clubs.

He throws his body around like a rag doll for 90 minutes each week, his aerial ability is usually helped by an elbow to the opposition player and he just doesn’t play a smart game.

Red cards a plenty and only popping up for the odd goal here and there, it is no wonder that Jose Mourinho brought in Nemanja Matic to take the big man’s place in the starting line-up.

Given how quickly and comfortably the Serbian has integrated himself into the United set up, it is likely that the United boss would be willing to let Fellaini go especially for an offer as good as the one rumoured.

He didn’t start against West Ham on Sunday in United’s 4-0 destruction of the Hammers and it would be difficult to imagine him starting for Juventus.

A great move for the player, a chance to play for one of the world’s biggest clubs is nothing to turn your nose up to but with the Old Lady’s draw power, Fellaini is quite a strange choice.
