Man United’s proposed £36.7m signing falls through

AndersonManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have set a new high-score on our arcade boxing game in the corner, after venting their frustration following some staggering reports.

The Express, citing the BBCstate that a proposed deal for Felipe Anderson in January will not take place and the Brazilian star will remain with Lazio.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with the £36.7m addition of Anderson this month, with it being reported that United officials met with the Brazilian’s agent in Italy last week.

The player himself also spoke about the prospect of a transfer and didn’t rule anything out, which led our punters to feel pretty confident that a deal for their long-term target will finally take place- thus strengthening their woeful attacking line.

Despite all the previous reports pointing in the right direction, it now seems pretty clear that Anderson will not be a Manchester United player but the end of the month and our punters are questioning just what on earth has gone wrong.

Our landlord believes they’ve been saved some embarrassment though, as he doesn’t think the player is worth his monitors price-tag.

United fans, will this failed deal cost you Champions League football? Let us know in the comments below!
